You know the Christmas carol where the singers keep singing, “Oh bring us some figgy pudding, oh bring us some figgy pudding…”? And they won’t go until they get some? I started to wonder why, if it was supposed to be so good, how come nobody ever does bring you any? And I think I found out. If I remember correctly, this was only the second radio story I ever did, but it remains one of my favorites, and for years WBEZ replayed it every Christmastime.
